A look back: Sept. 24, 1969

Fred Ruderman of Allentown, owner of two apparel companies in Lansford, bought the former Pennsylvania Wholesale Drug Company building at Bertsch and Sharpe streets, Lansford, at an auction yesterday.

Ruderman, who moved his Ridge Garment Company to the former Sokol Hall building on East Snyder Avenue, Lansford, after a fire burned out his factory on West Ridge Street, said he had no immediate plans to move into the brick building which formerly housed the drug company.

He also operated the Lansford Apparel Company at Coal and Patterson streets.
