A look back: Oct. 2, 1962

Installation of officers of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Lafayette Assembly, Palmerton, was held recently with Master John M. Fitzpatrick of the First Pennsylvania District acting as installing officer.

Officers installed were the Rev. John Matios of Palmerton, faithful friar; John J. McCann of Nesquehoning, navigator; Andrew Perlosi of Palmerton, captain; John Homa of Nesquehoning, pilot; Philip Dierkes of Lehighton, admiral; Stephen Yelinko of Palmerton, comptroller; John Tisiker of Palmerton, purser; Stephen Gazdick of Nesquehoning, scribe; Frank Besek of Nesquehoning, inside sentinel; and Timothy Kutta of Palmerton, outside sentinel.
