Sheehan completes Doctor of Psychology

Chelsea Christine Sheehan, Psy.D., of Jim Thorpe, has completed the Doctor of Psychology degree at the College of Health Sciences of Midwestern University. An official graduation ceremony and conferring of degrees took place on the Midwestern University campus in Glendale, Arizona, on Aug. 22.

Dr. Sheehan is the daughter of William Sheehan of Jim Thorpe and Lynn Rehrig of Lehighton. She has a brother, Jonathan, who resides in Scranton. She graduated from Marian Catholic High School in 2010 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2014 and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice in 2015, both from Marywood University in Scranton. While at Midwestern University, she served as class treasurer and researched grief in prisons. She plans to practice clinical psychology in the prison system, serving incarcerated individuals.
