Walnutport considers replacing police car
Walnutport may look to replace a faulty police car with a new model.
Borough grant coordinator Michael Wentz said at Thursday’s workshop session that there’s a problem with the police department’s 2010 police car.
“There was a leak,” Wentz said. “The car developed rapid misfire.”
Wentz said the vehicle has about 90,000 miles on it.
Councilwoman Jennifer Wentz said the matter needs to be addressed at some point.
Jen Wentz noted that police have two SUVs and a Taurus.
“We’re going to need another police car,” Jen Wentz said. “We would be looking for another Taurus.”
