Walnutport terminates road foreman
Walnutport has terminated the employment of its road foreman.
After an executive session, borough council on a 6-0 vote, with one abstention, on Thursday agreed to relieve Eric C. Strohl of his duties.
Councilwoman Jennifer Wentz abstained from the vote. Asked by a reporter after the meeting why she abstained, Wentz declined to comment.
Council said it terminated Strohl “based on the results of the employment investigation of his failing to maintain a CDL, and unrelated acts of misconduct.”
In a related matter, council agreed to advertise for a new code enforcement officer.
Strohl had also held that position for the borough.
