GNLCC to host spiritual investigation at Slatington library
A spiritual investigation session will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Slatington Public Library.
Hosted by the Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature professional ghost hunters who will take guests on a tour to reveal what stories are yet to be told.
There will be two tours: one at 6 p.m., and the other at 8 p.m. A mixer will be held from 7-8 p.m., at which time samples of drinks and food will be provided.
The cost is $20 per person. All proceeds benefit the library.
Held last year, the event was so well-attended that people wanted to do it again, according to Jessica O’Donnell, executive vice president of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
“There’s apparently a ghost that people have said that they’ve seen at the library,” O’Donnell said. “It’s just a fun community event to learn about the history of the library and the things before it.”
O’Donnell said the event figures to be a huge hit “for those looking for a thrill and those looking for the history of Slatington and the Slatington Library.”
“We’re taking you on a tour to reveal what stories are yet to be told,” she said. “What lives behind the books, if you will.”
O’Donnell said walk-ins are welcome, as the event is open to anyone and everyone.
