Nesquehoning police

Nesquehoning police released the following incidents that happened in the borough.

• On Oct. 24, a tractor-trailer crashed along Route 54 due to the driver not paying attention. The vehicle struck a utility pole. No injuries were reported, and charges are pending against the driver, who has not been identified.

• On Oct. 25, at 7:30 a.m., a vehicle struck a deer along Route 209 near the Nesquehoning Hose Company on the east end of the borough. No injuries were reported but the vehicle needed to be towed.

Citations:

• Jerry Brant, an inmate at the Carbon County Correctional Facility, was cited for harassment after he made unwanted physical contact with a corrections officer on Oct. 16.

• Police also issued four speeding citations to drivers and one citation for operating a vehicle where prohibited.
