A look back: Nov. 8, 1962

Austin Redline was elected president of the Fairview Hose Company, in Jim Thorpe, during last night’s meeting held in the company hall.

Other officers include Charles Witherich, vice president; William Schmidt, secretary; Guy Bruch, treasurer; Joseph Doll, trustee; William Coyle, house committee; Thomas Shanfelt, assistant fire marshal; Gerald Lennon, foreman of hose; Leonard Marzen, foreman of engine and ambulance; John Busocker, delegate to four-county convention; Charles McTague, alternate delegate to four-county convention; and Phil Rodgers Jr., Vincent Miller, Schmidt, George Hinger and Lennon, delegates to Carbon County Volunteer Firemen’s Association.
