November 12, 1993 — Rodger Gehring collects 176 rushing yards on 29 carries and scores a pair of touchdowns to help Panther Valley earn a 29-12 upset win over Jim Thorpe. With the Panthers leading 14-6 at halftime on a pair of 1-yard TD runs by quarterback Chris Kuzma, Gehrig gives PV added insurance in the second half by reaching the end zone on a 26-yard burst and a 30-yard bolt. The winners, coached by George Whary, collect 316 rushing yards, also receiving 85 from Matty Machalik.
