WALNUTPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL

Walnutport Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:

• Approved the police contract.

• Agreed to spend $2,900 for the front door of the borough garage.

• Granted permission for fire police to assist with the Bo Tkach Foundation 5K Turkey Trot at The Palmerton Park in Palmerton on Thanksgiving Day.

• Announced that the third annual tree lighting event will be held Dec. 7 at the Walnutport Park.

• Announced that the Candy Cane Hunt will be held Dec. 14 at the Walnutport Park.

• Announced that an E-Recycling event will be held in the borough parking lot.
