A look back: Nov. 16, 1971

Robert Fulton, head basketball coach at Marian High School, was the guest speaker at the Brotherhood of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tamaqua, held Monday night in the social area of the church, where the Father, Sons and Daughters were honored.

Fulton addressed about 100 people on the topic of “Challenges for Life.”

Awards were presented to Bruce Hartman, 82, oldest father; William Jones, 21, youngest father; Harold Schock, who had five children in attendance; James Schlegel, who with his son and grandson, both named James, represented three generations; Megin Mateyak, youngest daughter; and William Jones, youngest son.
