Carbon County commissioners

Carbon County Commissioners, on Thursday, acted on or discussed the following items:

• Gerald Strubinger of Jim Thorpe against urged the board to install solar panels on the Broad Mountain near the jail as a way to save on electricity.

• Authorized the necessary advertisement relative to the board of commissioners attending the Penn Forest Township Supervisors meeting on Dec. 2 regarding the Carbon County Bridge 12 replacement project. The bridge is located on Old Stage Road.

• Resignation: David A. Slinger of Lehighton, aging care manager III, Area Agency on Aging, effective Nov. 15.

• Court appointment: Nicole L. Drob of Weatherly, district justice secretary I, effective Nov. 25.
