Tamaqua cross country awards
The Tamaqua High School cross country team was recently honored at a season-ending banquet. Team members receiving awards were, from left, Brianna Dumond (Delrose Scholar Athlete Award), Brandon Fogarty (Christopher P. Truskey Memorial Award), and Lottie Mateyak (Lewis A. Boyer Memorial Award and Delrose Scholar Athlete Award). This was the first time in the history of the Delrose Award that two Tamaqua student-athletes have received it in the same year. Recipients must be ranked in the top 5 percent of their class and be at least a three-year member of the cross country team. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
