November 22, 1980 — Mike Tracy scores five touchdowns and rushes for 292 yards to lead Marian to a 47-21 victory over Honesdale in the Eastern Conference Class B championship game. Tracy, who becomes the state’s career rushing leader by breaking the previous mark of 4,835, opens the game’s scoring with a 14-yard TD run in the first quarter. He breaks loose for a 74-yard tally later in the frame and adds a 93-yard kickoff return to help extend the lead. The all-state back tacks on TD runs of six and 53 yards in the second half. The Colts, coached by Stan Dick (Dakosty), also receive two touchdowns from Pete Bumbulsky.
