A look back: Nov. 22, 1993

The Summit Hill Business and Professional Association announced plans today to host the first-ever “Christmas on the Hill” event for children and their families.

Helping to offset the costs associated with the celebration is attorney Joseph J. Velitsky, who presented a $500 check to SHB&PA officer Sharon Chapman to help defray costs associated with the program.

Those costs include the purchase of a Douglas fir tree from Halabura Farms, McKeansburg, which has been planted in Ludlow Park and will be decorated for the tree-lighting ceremony that will be a highlight of the event next month.
