Wind knocks out power in Carbon, Schuylkill

More than 7,000 PPL customers are without power because of high winds in the region. Carbon and Schuylkill counties have a lot of homes without power. According to PPL , 1.725  were out in Jim Thorpe. Power was restored to all but 47 customers by 10 a.m.  Forty five people are out in Kidder, 42 in Lansford, one each in Packer and Towamensing townships and 78 in Penn Forest Township.

In Schuylkill County, 224 are our in West Penn Township, with 119 out in West Brunswick, 7 in Schuylkill Township and one in Ryan Township.
