Woman charged with stealing money from employer
A Lansford woman has been charged with theft after it was discovered she stole money from her employer in Tamaqua.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by patrolman Corey Herring of the Tamaqua Police Department:
At 5:38 p.m. Nov. 10, Herring received a report of a theft at Dunkin’ Donuts, 30 Center St.
Herring spoke to the manager, who said she discovered a theft by an employee, Carvajal Gisneiry, 25.
The manager provided video footage from 12:13 a.m. Nov. 9 of Gisneiry concealing $639 taken from a cash register.
Gisneiry then left the store with the stolen money.
Gisneiry faces charges of theft by failure to make required disposition of funds received and theft by unlawful taking — movable property.
