Lehighton state police report incidents
State police at Lehighton reported the following incidents:
• Alleged indecent assault incidents that happened in 2009 were reported. Police said a 17-year-old female from Downingtown reported the sexual assaults took place along Polk Township Road in Polk Township.
• On Nov. 21 at 8:33 a.m. troopers went to a residence along Mountain View Drive in Polk Township, Monroe County, to serve an arrest warrant.
While taking Robert Valencik, 24, of Blakeslee, into custody he was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and was charged accordingly.
• Troopers also reported the arrest of a 17-year-old female from Northampton on Nov. 21 at 7:35 p.m. Troopers made a traffic stop along Route 248 in Lower Towamensing Township. At the stop the female was found to be in possession of several illegal THC cartridges.
• A 41-year-old woman from Lehighton reported she left her wallet containing $50 in cash and a raffle ticket along Lincoln Avenue in Bowmanstown at noon Nov. 12.
• A Carbon County teen was cited following a traffic stop that occurred at 10:07 p.m. on Nov. 27.
State police at Lehighton said a 16-year-old male from Lehighton was stopped along East Lizard Creek Road at Riverview Road in East Penn Township for traffic violations while operating a 2006 Chevrolet pickup.
Alcoholic beverages were found inside the vehicle. Charges are pending.
• State police at Lehighton reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 5 p.m. on Sunday along Short Road in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.
Troopers said Glenn Kralik, 72, of Lansford, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt eastbound and lost control of the vehicle due to icy conditions. The vehicle went off the road and hit a boulder, then entered a ditch. Kralik was not injured. The vehicle was towed.
