Gov. Tom Ridge has reappointed Dr. John DeMatte of Lehighton to serve on the Pennsylvania State Board of Chiropractic.
The board is charged with the licensing and regulation of the practice of chiropractic. It is composed of the commissioner of Occupational Affairs, the director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection in the office of the attorney general, two members of the general public and five chiropractors.
Dr. DeMatte, who also served in this capacity under the Casey administration, is a past chairman of the board and has been the representative to the National Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards. He has maintained a full-time practice of chiropractic in Lehighton for the past 31 years.
