Published December 16. 2019 09:21AM

Stacy Kilpatrick, 34, of Albrightsville, was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Nesquehoning after an incident at 2:40 p.m. Dec. 13 at the L.B. Morris Elementary School, West 10th Street, Jim Thorpe.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said she was charged with possession of a controlled substance and flight to avoid apprehension.

Police said she was located inside the school, after which time she was contacted by telephone and advised to exit the building based on active warrants for her arrest for drug-related charges and turn herself in.

Police said she fled the building via a side exit door and was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. She was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine that was found in her pants pocket.
