A look back: Dec. 17, 1976

The Operating Committee of the Carbon County Vocational-Technical School met last night for its annual reorganizational meeting, re-electing Joseph Fiorentino, of Nesquehoning, as chairman of the five-person unit. He is the president of the Panther Valley School District Board of Education.

Elmer Hinkle, Weatherly, was re-elected vice chairman. Other members of the committee are Oscar Blynn of Palmerton, secretary; George Hiller of Jim Thorpe, treasurer; and Ernest Christman of Lehighton.

In a procedural vote, the board approved a proposal that would call for each of the school districts participating in the Vo-Tech program to name an alternate representative to the committee.
