Kunkletown man jailed after assault

A 37-year-old man from Kunkletown was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, after he was charged with an assault during a domestic incident.

State police at Lehighton said they responded at 11:28 p.m. Dec. 12 to a residence on Greenhill Road on Polk Township and charged the man with simple assault, harassment and resisting arrest.

The victim is a 39-year-old woman from Kunkletown who shared the common residence with the man.
