A look back: Dec. 19, 1968

Lee Greenawalt Jr. of Oswego, New York, was hired as an elementary supervisor by the Northern Lehigh School Board last night.

Greenawalt is currently teaching fifth grade and serving as department principal in the Union Edicott School District in New York, having previously been an elementary supervisor in that state and a teacher in the Blue Mountain School District, Schuylkill Haven.

The new supervisor, who will start at Northern Lehigh at the beginning of the second semester, will succeed Bernard Cowden, who resigned to take a similar position nearer his home.

Greenawalt is married and is the father of two children.
