Tamaqua swept North Schuylkill in swimming action Thursday, while its boys basketball team defeated Pine Grove.
Northern Lehigh, Northwestern and Weatherly posted boys basketball wins, while the Palmerton girls and Pleasant Valley wrestling team were also victorious.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Northern Lehigh-Palisades
A strong second half helped Northern Lehigh rally for a 59-55 Colonial League win over Palisades.
Trailing by 12 points at the half, the Bulldogs (4-12; 3-8) outscored the Pirates 33-17 to earn the comeback victory.
Zach Moyer sparked the winners with 23 points, while Kole Richards and Carter Smith both finished with 11.
Palisades (7-7; 4-6) received a team-high 21 points from Liam Carey.

Andres Garrido scored a career-high 22 points to help Northwestern post a 72-61 Colonial League victory over Notre Dame.
Garrido was one of five Tigers to score in double figures.

The Warriors (11-2; 7-2) received eight points from both Charbel Ghaleb and Derelle McKinney in the second quarter when they used a 20-11 frame to build a lead. Ghaleb finished with a team-high 18 points.
Kody Kratzer scored a game-high 25 points to pace the Blue Bombers (10-5; 7-4), while Justin Hosier added 18.

The Crimson Tide (12-3; 8-0) received a game-high 29 points from Mason Barnes, who also scored his 1,000th career point. Kevin Schenk tallied 19 points for the winners, who took control with a 28-7 second frame.
The two teams combined for 22 three-pointers, with each club collecting 11.

Nathaniel Kovalchick (100 Fly, 200 Free) had two firsts as the Blue Raider boys registered a 99-45 victory. The winners also received firsts from Alexander Barron (200 IM), Zeno Zukovich (50 Free), Joey Lescavage (500 Free) and Brandon Long (100 Back).
In the girls meet, a 115-54 triumph by Tamaqua, Nicole Aguero-Ramirez (100 Free, 200 Free), Brianna Dumond (200 IM, 100 Back) and Madelyn Jones (500 Free, 100 Breast) all posted multiple win. The Raiders also received firsts from Logan Hartney (50 Free) and Ashley Jones (Diving).
