A look back: Jan. 20, 1980

Election of members of the church council of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bowmanstown, took place following yesterday’s worship service. The meeting was conducted by Miss Kathryn M. Flexer, president of the council.

The balloting resulted in Quinton Snyder of Palmerton R.1 and Roland Fritz of Bowmanstown being re-elected to the board, as well as newcomers Lee Beck of Bowmanstown and Earl Reabold Sr. of Lehighton R.4. The latter two will replace Allen W. Rehrig and Lester A. Everett, who did not wish to be re-elected.

The council also adopted the proposed 1980 budget as recommended by the finance committee. It listed anticipated expenses of $56,157.15.
