South Carolina couple found guilty of kidnapping Monroe County teen

A Monroe County jury found a South Carolina couple guilty Thursday in Monroe County Court of kidnapping an East Stroudsburg teen and sexually assaulting him in 2018.

Confesol Paduani, 45, and Cynthia Delgado, 31, picked up the 15-year-old male, who they met online, in August 2018, police said.

The male was taken to a trailer park in Dillon, South Carolina.

“Delgado and Paduani engaged in sexual communication with the minor, along with communication about them being the minor’s new family,” trooper Justin Leri said.

The duo was taken into custody in South Carolina in September 2018.
