Police reported mailbox theft in Walker
State police at Frackville reported a theft occurring in Walker Township, just outside of Tamaqua.
On Monday troopers were called to Shady Lane by a 82-year-old man who reported his mailbox had been stolen. The victim said he was awakened by his dog barking about 1 a.m. He got up and observed a car speeding off the road away from his home. He went outside to investigate and saw the mailbox was missing. The value of the mailbox was listed as $50.
