Workers clear the debris from the site of the former Clearview Homes building on Route 115. The structure was originally built in 1902. The 1.77-acre property has been purchased by Rite Aid, which is relocating from across the street to this property and the 2.62-acre property that currently houses Pocono Automart. The business is moving because a portion of the proposed Pennsylvania Department of Transportation roundabout project will be going through its current location at the corner of Routes 209 and 115 in Brodheadsville. Rite Aid is set to begin construction this spring, and is intended to be built before that roundabout is completed. PennDOT is slated to accept bids in the spring for the project which includes building two roundabouts along Route 209, one at the intersection with Route 115 and one near the entrance of Pleasant Valley High School. Where would they put a roundabout on 248 from the interchange road to palmerton. Roundabouts are the latest fad for the PennDot Moron Engineers.
