Graduates from Embry-Riddle
Jillian Farkas
Jillian C. Farkas of Palmerton recently graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida, with a bachelor of science degree in aeronautical engineering and a minor in aviation safety.
While attending ERAU, she served as a resident adviser for three years, the Society of Women Engineers Chapter vice president and SWE Conference chairman. She is also a member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators.
She is a 2011 graduate of Palmerton Area High School.
Jill is the daughter of Joseph and Jane Farkas of Palmerton, granddaughter of the late Fred and Josephine Klementovic of Lansford, and granddaughter of the late Joseph and Mary Farkas of Palmerton.
She has accepted a position with the American Airlines 787 Engineering Group in Dallas, Texas, as an airframe and systems engineer.
