Graduates with honors

Haley Sawyer of Lehighton graduated cum laude from Robert Morris University in December with a bachelor's degree in communication and a concentration in journalism.

Haley was also a member of the Patriot Scholars honors program and composed her thesis, a football documentary that spanned over two years as a program requirement; was named a dean's scholar in the School of Communication and Information Systems; and was named to the dean's list four semesters.

She traveled abroad to Ireland, was an editor for the school newspaper and interned with the Beaver County Times and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Currently, she resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, and works for Sporting News.
