A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges after leading police on a high-speed chase Thursday.

State police at Frackville said Brian Thomas Stravinsky, 31, of Ringtown, has been charged with fleeing and eluding, driving under the influence, recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest and multiple motor vehicle code charges.

According to troopers, at 8:38 a.m. they attempted to stop Stravinsky along Interstate 81 in Frailey Township. Stravinsky, operating a green Ford Ranger pickup, fled northbound. The pursuit continued at a high rate of speed into Frackville. The pursuit ended when troopers used a legal intervention maneuverer to stop the vehicle.

During the pursuit Stravinsky's truck struck another vehicle but no one was injured. Also, speeds reached 110 mph during the chase.

Court records indicate Stravinsky is an inmate in the county prison in Pottsville.
