Driver slightly injured in Schuylkill crash

A Schuylkill County driver sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:10 a.m. Friday along Route 54 in Ryan Township.

State police at Frackville said Molly Neifert, 37, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser westbound and negotiating a right curve when she lost control. The vehicle traveled onto the north berm and struck a utility pole. The vehicle came to rest just west of the pole in a grassy area, troopers said.

Neifert was taken to St. Luke's Hospital-Miners Campus in Coaldale by Ryan Township ambulance. She was cited for the crash, troopers said.
