Man, son-in-law cited in fight
A Tamaqua man and his son-in-law will both be cited by police after an argument on Jan. 9.
Tamaqua Police were dispatched to 12 S. Greenwood St. at 10:08 p.m. for two males reportedly fighting.
At the scene, they spoke with Tyrell Rucker, 25, who said he had been assaulted by his father-in-law, Timothy Gillette, 56, of 255 Cedar St., Tamaqua. Rucker was in an inebriated condition and had a small bruise on the left side of his face, below his eye.
Gillette said both men were drinking at his home. Rucker began yelling at his wife, leading Gillette to step in. He said Rucker hit him first, so he punched the other man in the face.
Both will receive citations for harassment.
