Sunday school, not sports

"One man." Just one man spoke up at the Tamaqua Area School Board meeting, (Church vs. sports; Times News, Wednesday, Jan. 13.)

President Larry Wittig spoke out against Sunday sports. This has been something I have repeatedly spoken out against for a long time. Kudos to Mr. Wittig!

It should remind us that all through Scripture it took just one man (as God's messenger) to bring about change. From Abraham to Joseph to Jonah to Moses, etc., the list goes on.

We should all congratulate Mr. Wittig whenever we see him, for he is indeed witnessing as Jesus has taught us! It should also enlighten us to the fact that one man, the Antichrist, is "waiting in the grandstand" to do his job when the time is right. All the more reason why more children should be attending Sunday school instead of Sunday sports. Thank you.
