McAdoo men face drug charges

McAdoo Police have filed charges against two men they picked up on Jan. 24 while assisting Rush Township Police with a retail theft incident.

Rush Township Police were looking for Joshua Gundry, 27, in connection with the theft of $472.28 in merchandise from the HT Commons Walmart. They received a tip that he was at 70 S. Kennedy Drive in McAdoo and requested assistance in his arrest.

Gundry was found in the home, along with Daniel Schwartz of McAdoo.

A records check found a warrant for Schwartz, filed by Luzerne County officials.

As officers searched the men, they found two hypodermic needles and a glass pipe on Gundry and three hypodermic needles on Schwartz.

Gundry was jailed in the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville in lieu of $5,000 bail. Schwartz was turned over to Luzerne County authorities.

McAdoo Police have filed charges of possession of drug paraphernalia against both men.
