Woman cited with DUI
A McAdoo woman has been cited as a result of a traffic stop in McAdoo on Dec. 20.
An officer was on patrol when he saw a black Toyota Scion being driven on West Blaine Street. The car kept crossing the yellow line and the license plate lights were not functioning. When he initiated a traffic stop, the officer also noted the car's windows were heavily tinted.
The driver was identified as Marie Donadi. She initially denied drinking any alcohol, but when she was told the officer could smell alcohol on her breath, she admitted having one beer.
She was given, and failed, field sobriety tests.
Donadi was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without the required rear lights, driving unsafe equipment (tinted windows) and failure to stay in the traffic lane.
