Monroe County woman charged with DUI

A Monroe County woman has been charged with driving under the influence for her role in a crash that occurred earlier this month.

State Police at Frackville said that while on patrol at 7:10 p.m. Jan. 2, troopers came upon a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta that had crashed on Route 61, at the Mall Road off ramp in Blythe Township.

The investigation revealed that the driver, Tara N. Finneran Flood, 45, of East Stroudsburg, was under the influence.

Finneran Flood, who was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash, was not injured. Her vehicle sustained minor damage.

She was placed under arrestand refused a blood test.

As a result, DUI and related charges were filed. The investigation continues.
