Man is facing DUI charges

Dennis Robert Acevedo, 36, of Lehighton, is facing pending driving under the influence charges stemming from an incident at 10 p.m. Jan. 4 at the intersection of North First Street and Center streets in Mahoning Township.

Police said he was stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation and taken into custody, at which time he refused a legal blood draw.
