Apparent burglary stopped in Schuylkill

An apparent burglary attempt was stopped in Schuylkill County when the homeowner yelled at the two suspects that police were en route to the home.

State police at Frackville said the incident occurred at a residence in the 500 block of Hay Stack Drive, The Cover, in Zion Grove, North Union Township. At 3:37 p.m. on Monday, two suspects were observed riding all-terrain vehicles and approaching the residence. The two men then walked to the rear of the home and proceeded to look into windows. One of the men checked a rear door to see if it was locked. The two men fled the scene when the homeowner yelled out that police had been called and were on their way.

One ATV was yellow and the other was described as being a dark color.
