Macungie man facing DUI

A 40-year-old Macungie man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at 11:24 p.m. Feb. 5 on Maury Road, near Long Run Road in Franklin Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks did not reveal the name of the man but said he was stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation, after which police said they learned he was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to the local hospital for a blood test.
