No one is hurt when tanker hits car

State police at the Lehighton barracks said no one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash that happened at 9:02 a.m. Feb. 9 at the intersection of Manor Lane East and White Pine Lane in Mahoning Township.

Police said the crash occurred when a 2001 International Harvester oil tanker operated by John P. Arner, 42, of Nesquehoning, backed onto North Pine Lane and failed to yield to an oncoming 2011 Subaru operated by Noreen F. Mackay, 62, of Lehighton, striking it from its position traveling east on Manor Lane East.
