Man charged with assaulting woman; incident recorded

A New Philadelphia man was charged by Tamaqua police in connection with a domestic incident on Feb. 5.


Sean Joseph Job, 36, of 56 Water St., was at a home on Mauch Chunk Street at 1 p.m., when he became involved in an argument with the female victim. The argument was over a juvenile child.


Job grabbed the woman by the neck twice, slapping her in the face and breaking her glasses the second time. The confrontation was captured on closed-circuit television.


Job was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.
