Domestic assault incident reported

A Monroe County man has been charged as the result of a domestic incident.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers were called to Cherokee Trail, in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township at 10 a.m. Monday for a report of a domestic assault. On scene officers were told bya 70-year-old man that he had been assaulted by his stepson, Daniel Patino, 26, of that address.

The victim said Patino punched him several times and kicked him while he was on the living room floor. Patino left the residence before police arrived.

The victim was taken by ambulance to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of injuries. An arrest warrant was issued for Patino.

Police said Patino was later arrested on charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and two counts of harassment.
