JDRF to host fundraising gala for type 1 diabetes

The JDRF Eastern PA Chapter will host its annual One Promise Gala April 30 at the Renaissance Hotel in Allentown. The theme is "Passport to a Cure: Ireland." All proceeds go toward funding research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.

The organization will be presenting the Living and Giving Award to Eric Schippers with Penn National Gaming for his dedicated efforts to JDRF.
