New to Medicare workshops
Blue Mountain Health System will co-sponsor two workshops on New to Medicare with the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Gnaden Huetten campus, 211 N. 12th St. in Lehighton and 1:30 p.m. March 16 at the Bowmanstown Medical Plaza at 512 Bank St. in Bowmanstown.
A representative from the Area Agency on Aging will provide a general introduction to Medicare, which includes Medicare Parts A-D, Medicare supplemental insurance (Medi-Gap policies), Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D).
The workshop will help those entering Medicare for the first time, and their caregivers, better understand this comprehensive health care program.
