Nesquehoning police log

Nesquehoning police issued the following citations for the week of March 19-26.

Speeding

Three people were cited along Catawissa Street, going 43, 43 and 45 in a 25 mph zone.

Four people were cited for going 73, 75, 79 and 85 mph in a 55 zone along Route 93.

MVAs

There were five motor vehicle crashes that officers responded to in the borough.

On March 20, a 2008 Kia sedan struck a tree along Route 209, a two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Mermon Avenue and Mill Street, a two-vehicle crash happened along Route 209, and a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox struck a deer along Route 54.

On March 26, a two-vehicle crash was reported along Route 209.

Other violations

Officers also cited 14 other people for various traffic and ordinance violations.
