Man cited after dishwasher falls off truck
A Summit Hill man was cited by Tamaqua Police after a hit-and-run crash on Owl Creek Road on March 25.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 257 Owl Creek Road at 8:48 a.m. and spoke with Craig Walters, who said he was driving east on the road when a Ford Ranger truck passed him headed west.
The truck bed was filled with scrap metal.
As the Ford drew near to Walters' vehicle, a dishwasher fell from the back, striking the victim's vehicle. The driver of the Ranger saw what happened and turned around to make sure Walters wasn't injured.
When asked for his information, the driver backed up, turned around and then drove west again.
Police put out a be on the lookout for a green Ford Ranger piled with scrap metal and were able to connect with it on Cedar Street.
The driver was identified as Bryan R. Beshock, 48, of 341 W. Iron St., Summit Hill.
Beshock said he left the scene because his driver's license is suspended and he doesn't have insurance on the truck.
Beshock was cited for hit and run, failure to give information and render aid, failure to notify police of an accident, failure to secure his load, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
