Tamaqua driver in Lehigh crash

A Tamaqua driver was involved in a rear-end crash in Lehigh County on March 31 in which he was cited.

Upper Macungie Township police said Bunruang S. Sopho, 49, of Kutztown, and Bruce L. Fisher, 55, of Tamaqua, were both westbound on Tilghman Street and attempting to merge onto northbound Route 100 at 3:55 p.m.

Sopho stopped for the yield sign due to traffic on 100 and his 2010 Acura RDX was struck in the rear by Fisher's 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. No one was injured but the Cavalier had to be towed from the scene.

Fisher was cited for following too closely, police said.
