Head-on crash in Schuylkill

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a head-on crash at 10:45 a.m. Sunday along Pottsville Street in Mechanicsville, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Brittany L. Schwalm, 20, of Pottsville, was driving a 2015 Hyundai Elantra westbound when it crossed the double yellow line and collided into a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country driven by William S. Davis, 41, of Port Carbon.

Schwalm was injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Davis was not injured but his passenger, Tara W. Davis, 38, sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Troopers cited Schwalm for the crash.
