Man charged with sexual abuse of child

A Luzerne County man has been charged with 11 counts of sexual abuse of children.

State police at Hazleton said William Stanley Waschko, 62, of 1616 E. Broad St., Hazleton, was arrested for having images depicting children under the age of 18 engaging in prohibited sexual acts or in the simulation of such acts. The images were discovered on his computer which he used at his place of employment, troopers said. The incident occurred during the time frame of Feb. 14, 2014 to March 7.

Waschko was arraigned before District Judge James Dixon, of Hazle Township, and released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
